Visceral Manipulation (VM)
Visceral manipulation is a hands-on approach to assist in restoring the mobility and motility of the tissues which make up the organs. Subtle manual forces are facilitated by your therapist to revitalize the workings of individual organs and systems.
Visceral manipulation evaluates and treats the dynamics of motion and suspension in relation to organs, membranes, fascia, and ligaments.
Imagine an adhesion around your liver, affecting it’s motility and function. This would also lead to fascial restrictions within that area which could compromise your posture, the movement of your rib cage, your breathing pattern and the mobility of your right shoulder. This is only one example of hundreds of possibilities—multiplied by thousands of repetitions each day.
